Biography

Abraham Southworth was born in 1864 in Haulgh, Bolton-le-Moors, Lancashire, England to Henry Southworth and Betsy (Greenhalgh) Southworth. His birth was registered in Bolton, Lancashire in the first quarter of the year [mistranscribed as Abraham Southward], with mother's maiden name Greenhalgh.^[1]

Abraham Southworth, son of Henry & Betsy, was christened on 17 Apr 1864 in Bolton-le-Moors - his abode was Haulgh and his father's occupation was Collier.^[2]

In 1871 Abraham Southwrith (age 7, Scholar) lived in Little Bolton All Saints with his father Henry (42, Coal Miner), mother Betsy (39, Piecer), and brother William (4).^[3]
