Both Owen and Mutrie incorrectly identify this man as the Philip Sovereign who settled in Trafalgar Township in Halton. The Philip Sovereign of Trafalgar was the uncle of this Philip. He moved there in 1812 when this Philip was only thirteen years old.[1]
