Biography

Noel Sowman lived at Arthur street, Blenheim and worked as a carpenter. In 1936 he married Lorna Priddle, daughter of Ernest Priddle and Ellen Sowman. Their child Kevin Noel, born in July 1937, lived for just 3 days and was buried at Omaka cemetery. In the early 1940's Noel and Lorna moved north to Wellington where he continued working as a carpenter. Noel died in 1979 age 69. He was cremated at Karori Cemetery, Wellington and his ashes buried at Omaka Cemetery, Blenheim.^[1]

Noel and Lorna had three children - Kevin, Gwenda and Edna.^[2]
