NOTES:
1. This is the great uncle and Godfather of Gawen Harris Nash, who was born 2nd July 1699 and in turn was the father in law of Mary Lintott of the Fighting Cocks.
2. He obviously had a brother Thomas Nash, who in turn probably had a son Thomas, brother to Gawen Nash, junior, the Testator of the Will of 1698.
3. It would seem that this Gawen was either a bachelor or else was a widower without children.
4. The reference to his brother John Yaldon must refer to his brother in law, thus we can probably assume that Gawen was a widower without children and that his wife’s maiden name was Yaldon.
5. The Elaine Nash referred to is almost certainly Eleanor Nash née RACKLON as noted in the Will of Gawen’s nephew Gawen in his Will of 1698.

Should this say that it refers to Eleanor Nash, wife of Thomas Nash of Walberton, Sussex and widow of John Rac(k)ton of Walberton? She was the daughter of William Edmonds of Yapton, Sussex.
