Space page written by Allan Harl Thomas

If an 1810 census of the Florida Parishes ever existed, it has been lost. Therefore, this tax is list important, as it enumerates property owners from Washington, St. Tammany, and the eastern portion of Tangipahoa Parishes of Louisiana. This "Memorandium of Tax Money Collected" by James Gaines by James Gaines in the Parish of St. Tammany was derived in the years 1811 and 1812.

Greetings Crispen, This page was a tool to help locate Wikitree profiles from Washington and Saint Tammany Parish for the War of 1812 and Rev War projects. As you may have noticed the War Memorial Photographs are linked to the profiles of individuals listed. Many of the same names are on the Tax List. This theoretically provides clues to sources for early pioneers in SE Louisiana.
I don't quite understand this page - what does the tax list have to do with the pictures on the monument - are they related? if they are not shouldn't they each have their own wikitree space?
