Dwelling 88, Family 88 in Mill Creek Township, Bourbon, Kansas.^[1] It seems likely that whoever provided information on this household to the census taker was not someone who knew all the facts about this family. Although John and Rebecca are included under the surname "Rodgers," they were actually Margaret's children from her first marriage, and their surname was Brosius. Additionally, this is the only record in which Margaret is reported as having been born in Ireland. Since other evidence seems to indicate that she was born in the United States, this could be another potential error by the informant.
