1904 Summer Olympics |
The 1904 Summer Olympics, or the Games of the III Olympiad, were held in St. Louis, Missouri from July 1 to November 23, 1904. It was part of the 1904 World's Fair, also known as the Louisiana Purchase Exposition. The competition was dominated by the athletes from the United States, due to difficulties traveling to St. Louis and tensions caused by the Russo–Japanese War.[1] Greece sent 14 men.[2]
