Class Poem
- Cobbs Creek High holds the Ace,
- For she has won every race.
- In 1910 she came along,
- With a fort that is still strong.
- But its character stands good and high,
- Like a white cloud up in the sky.
- Its colors are garnet and gray
- These will never, never fade away.
- It seems as if we just started here,
- And now our graduation is near.
- We have all tried to learn our part,
- So we'll turn to the world for a new start.
- She has taught us the way to go,
- On to our ambitions that glow.
- She has offered us all her will and knowledge,
- To prepare ourselves for life or college.
- Through the crooks and turns to our waiting goal;
- We must work and push with our very heart and soul,
- As we slowly and surely reach the top,
- We can look upon Cobbs Creek High as our starting spot.
- She may be old and out of date,
- But she still stands at first-rate.
- She is like a mother to this town,
- For now she wears a golden crown.
- Inside her walls are memories old,
- All of which can never be told;
- Many a graduate has left there sad,
- Looking to the future but remembering the past.
