In 1946 Ingrind "Inez" Amanda (Helgren) Herling wrote family tree for her family (Helgren and related families). A copy was passed to S. Cooper, the great-granddaughter of Inez' sister Elena. A. Ranck, Inez' granddaughter also inherited a copy. S. Cooper and A. Ranck's copies match exactly. During research of the names in the tree, SJ Baty found that some of the names and positions in the tree were conflated.
The last line on the reverse page reads: (Note by H.W. Miller: This is an exact copy of the original copy which I have in my possession.)
H. W. Miller[1] is believed to be Harry W. Miller, the son of Hilda Sophia, the sister of Ruth's mother Inez.

Grandmother, Victor, Inez and Hilda came to America together in 1892. They were met at the Minneapolis railroad station by Aunt Ellen, and Uncle Ed and Grandpa joined them later. After staying in Minneapolis from April till October they moved up to their permanent home in Clarissa, Minnesota. They rented the old Lundmark farm for almost three years before buying their own permanent farm land.
Grandpa Helgren was the 16th of 17 children, a family which included two sets of twins and one set of triplets. Grandfather's only nearest of kin in this country was his sister in Clarissa, Christina Herling, and a brother, Peter Swan, who lived in St. Croix, Wisconsin. The latter had three sons, Frank, Fred, and Ernest, and two daughters, Minnie and Gustie-(Augusta Amanda).
There were two girls and nine boys in the Stalnebb family (Grandmother's side). Grandmother was the oldest girl. Her sister, Mathilda Carlson, stayed in Sweden, but her daughter - Hilda Carlson - came to this country and settled in Chicago. Another of Grandmother's brothers, Johann Nystrum, settled in Soderham, Sweden. His son, Hilding Nystrom, and a daughter Amanda (Sundberg) emigrated to America and got in touch with Hilda Carlson in Chicago. Amanda Sundberg had five children - Sexton, John, Aina, Katy, and Anne.
