In 1941 Ron and Grace Setford bought their block of land at 9 Tanner Avenue, East Kew. It was only in December 1946 that they started building their home, and they moved in May 1947. They remained there for 37 years until the house was sold to their nephew Peter Setford in 1984, and Grace and Ron downsized and moved to Unit 45, 79 Bayswater Road, Croydon.
