The Immigrant ship Abberton made numerous voyages to the Australian Colonies

The Abberton was built in 1818 by Jabez Bailey in Ipswich, Suffolk. It was abandoned at sea while on voyage from London to Hobart, Tasmania in 1855.

23 April 1848 ➜ 3 August 1848 London - Port Adelaide with 14 cabin passengers & 60 Immigrants in steerage
