- Team Members:
- Chris Sharkey I have worked with young people with special educational needs, learning disabilities and learning difficulties for 15+ years. I volunteered for the RNIB Express Reading Service reading documents of all types for those with visual impairments ranging from a handbill for groceries for Christmas to supporting a student undertaking a PhD ion Malaysian Rubber Plantations. I have experience in assisting in the transcription of documents into Braille and Moon I am aware of some of the issues with grammar and writing for those whose first language is sign language.
- Greta Moody - I like to help people. I work in healthcare and do it at home as well. I can help on all three things that guides might help with.

Our goal is to help people with disabilities to find their way around WikiTree and learn about its features.
Accessibility Angel Guides are paired with Wikitreers who would like some extra help in getting comfortable with how to use WikiTree. Guides will usually be asked on a rotation basis. When a new request is received, the Team Leader will ask the next Guide on the roster if they are available to help, and if not, the Team Leader will move to the next Guide on the roster.
The help given by Guides will be tailored to the needs of the member who asks for help. Some members will be using assistive technology, such as a screen reader or other software to magnify or increase the contrast of their screen.
The Guides' help could include:
- explaining how to navigate WikiTree's webpages and where to find particular features or information
- explaining how to create and edit person profiles, including how to format text and add sources
- giving feedback one or more profiles the member has edited
