Adding Profiles
Cameroonian profiles can be indicated at least three ways:
Adding Profiles by Location
Create a sourced Profile for the individual and categorise by a relevant Cameroonian location.
Use the narrowest category that you can find, such as village or town or Division/Départements.
Only use one of the ten Region categories if more local categories not available. If several people are from the same locality, request a Category to be created.
Do not use the top level category for Cameroon.
Adding Profiles by Language
Create a sourced Profile for the individual and categorise by a relevant Cameroonian language.
Use the narrow category of that person’s mother tongue, rather than any of the more widely spoken lingua franca or national official languages of English or French.
Do not use the top level category for Cameroon or Languages.
Adding Profiles by Project Protection
Some profiles may become repeatedly spoilt, either deliberately, or more likely, through inexperience. In this case, the Project becomes the Profile Manager, and only Wikitreers who are formally part of the Cameroon Project can edit the Protected Project Profile.
