Estate of Joseph Veazie
Reguest for an order of distribution.

Phebe Sherman sworn. My maiden name was Veazie & my fathers name was Lemuel Veazie, I knew Jos. Veaz. My father was cousin, my grand fathers name was Lemuel he was uncle to J.V. Knew J.V. 4- years from prior to his decease, he visited me during that time once a gra-er -- I visited him, I have loked? with him relative with family I have heard him speak of Jos Veazie his uncle his grandparents Benjamin & Mary Veazie, & aunts Mary & Susan, Benj & Mary were my great grandparents. I have heard him speak of his relatives on his mothers side. he spoke of them as about all dead, & the last part of his life he spoke of a Cousin living in Boston at the time, named Winslow, & told me that his Cousin Winslow had died. Have heard him speak of his brothers & sisters, spoke of his brother Samuel; he used to speak of his sister Mrs Palmer & his brother John, who had a son that died, & he had two other sisters that he used to speak of I don't remember what their names were. The last part of his life he said they were all decd. (this is his brothers & sisters & his nephew).

Mr Veazie during the latter part of his life caused graves stones to be erected in Braintree Mass, to the memory of his grand parents, Benj. & Mary, his uncle Joseph, aunt Susan & Mary, (Reced letter which were read)

My Grand father, Lemuel V. the uncle of Joseph, had children Lemuel, Sarah, Susan, Samuel, Samul died before my grand father, he left no children, My fathers name was Lemuel, he left nine children, Rachel, Sarah, Joshua, Samul, Jacob, Deborah, Lemuel, Rhoda, Phebe, - of these Samuel Jacob Phebe are now living, - Rachael Sarah & Joshua died since the intestate, Rhoda, Deborah, & Lemuel died before intestate,. Lemul left no descendants, Rhoda left Samul S. Foye & Ellen R. Nightingale, Deborah left Lemuel V. Bourne, Aunt Susan Thayer left five children, George. W. Susan, Elisha S? Clarissa B. & Elias M.

Joseph A. Hollis sworn, and [son? hus?] of Sarah Hollis, sister of Phebe Sherman. I knew the late J.V. knew him 20? years before his death visiting my father once a year perhaps after --- married he came to see me once or twice, I have heard him talk about his relatives, he talked a great deal to Mother, he called her Cousin (of mother??) -- because he said it so often, I knew of his putting up the grave stones in the old Church Yard. (I have heard the statement of Phebe Shearman and this is correct as far as I know.
