The goal of this project is to collect ,verify and then place the entire family tree of of the Syeds i.e. the descendants of The Holy Prophet Muhammad(Pbuh) through the marriage of his daughter Fatima a.s. with Imam Ali a.s.

Right now this project just has one member, me. I am Syed Hassan Rizvi.

Here are some of the tasks that I think need to be done. I'll be working on them, and could use your help. - The Syeds presently constitute one of the biggest family trees of the world as also one of the most widely dispersed.This is because very early in the history of the family i.e. within the initial 3rd to 5th generations its members had already been forced to migrate from Arabia to as far as Spain on one side and Iran/India & Central Asia on the other.Never the less because of the respect afforded where ever they went it is comparatively east to find in the books of all areas they went to, a record of their early arrival and growth. A collection of such historic source records will be a first priority. - All Syeds are basically descendants of one of the eleven Imams of the household.The family tree of each of these eleven Imams will be a colossal task needing help from those with surnames Syed, Alvi, Abidi, Taqi, Naqvi Askari,Kazami,Jaffery,Razawi or Rizvi. - While helping me you will also be creating your own family tree.
