Akron, Canton, and Youngstown Railroad was a Class I railroad that operated in Ohio from 1911 to 1982. It connected Akron, Canton, and Youngstown, hence the name. The ACY was known for its coal and steel haulage, and also transported other freight, such as chemicals and rubber products. In the 1950s, the Northern Ohio Railroad acquired ACY on January 14, 1944 and it eventually merged into the Norfolk and Western Railway (N&W) on October 16, 1964. Despite the name, the company never served Canton or Youngstown.
