Parishes

Castro Marim is presently composed by four parishes but historically it had three. The list below contains some useful genealogical information. The patron saint is also included as paroquial records sometimes use it as a synonym for the parish's name.

	Azinhal	Divino Espírito Santo	Records range from 1608 to 1905.[1]
	Castro Marim	Santiago	Records range from 1595 to 1905.[2] In 1993 a new parish was created out of Castro Marim called Altura.
	Odeleite	Nossa Senhora da Visitação	Records range from 1667 to 1905.[3]
