Portimão is presently composed by three parishes but historically it had four. The list below contains some useful genealogical information. The patron saint is also included as paroquial records sometimes use it as a synonym for the parish's name.

	Portimão	Nossa Senhora da Conceição	Records range from 1575 to 1905.[4] Until 1924 it was also called Vila Nova.
