” Item first: I desire my body to be buried in a Christian like manner, suitable to my circumstances and condition. I hope for eternal salvation through our savior Jesus Christ (?) religion (?) (?) and I humbly trust for about forty eight years”

“Item second: I desire that all my debts be paid without delay by my executor therein after named.”

“Item Third: I give and devise to my daughter-in-law Isabella Napier the sum of five hundred dollars for her portion of my estate.”

“Item Four: I give and devise all the remainder of my property to my children and grandchildren consisting of eight shares, namely Adeline E Vaughan one share in case of her death my will is that William M Vaughan, receive her share. E.H. Lawrence one share, Allen Lawrence one share, Civiltiy C (?) one share, Jerry J Lawrence’s children, namely Willie, (?), Jasmine Lawrence and Addie Garfield one share, H.C. Lawrence’s children, namely Mary Gosley, (?) Lenard, John P rella ? and Eola Lawrence one share, Cynthia Walker’s children Noah and Willie Walker one share, Mollie F. Lawrence’s children Mollie, Charlie and Laura Lawrence.”

Item fifth: I appoint my grandson William A Walker guardians of like persons and property of my said minor grand children namely Annie Lawrence daughter of J.J. Lawrence (Jeremiah James), Eola Lawrence daughter of H.C. Lawrence, Minnie, Charlie and Laura children of my daughter Mary L. Lawrence.”
