Paula, I have some concerns about the bio of Ann Chapman. I haven't been able to find a confirmed birth record. So far I have possibles:

1- https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:J7CX-QZJ Anne Hardinge, father Richard, christened 19 Mar 1596 Hampshire, England 2- https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:N5T6-TL3 Anne Hardington, father Richard, christened 29 Sep 1591, Wiltshire, England 3 - https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QL3L-ZSBY Anne Arden, father Richard, mother Anne, baptised 20 Jun 1596, Staffordshire, England

One note on this sandbox gives birth date of 1590, the incorrect link to Marie Harding has 1599.

How sure are we that Thomas Chapman, christened at St. Mary's of Woolnoth Church in 1590 and married Ann Harding in 1610 at St. Mary's, is this Thomas Chapman? If they were married when Ann arrived in Virginia in 1617 aboard the George why did they have no children until 1622/23? 5 or 6 years with no children and then 2 in two years?

When I first started working with this family, I assumed Ann had arrived unmarried, possibly with her family, and had married Thomas in Virginia. The passenger list for the George of course lists her as Ann Chapman because she was married in the Hotten record used for the passenger list. That does not mean she was married when she arrived.

Is there any documentation for Ann Harding Chapman's enrollment as an orphan at Christ's Church Hospital?

By the way, when I started working on the Chapmans, it was from a list of unsourced Virginia profiles. Only after I had done some research did I find this set of Chapmans. Some merges will need to be done. Thomas Chapman, Jr. into Thomas Chapman II (abt.1621-bef.1657); Thomas Chapman, Sr. into Thomas Chapman (abt.1590-abt.1660).

One further note: Thomas Chapman, Sr., is not a Qualifying Ancestor of the Jamestowne Society. Only his second wife, Joan and her first husband Samuel Bennett, are on that list https://www.jamestowne.org/qualifying-ancestors.html.
