As Arborists, we are always on the lookout for duplicate profiles that are in need of being merged, have been set as an unmerged match for whatever reason or those that have been merged that should not have been.
Many of us use Surnames to find these duplicates, but there are other things that we can do by using Surnames.
Surnames are of course global, as people moved not only across their country of birth but to distant plains where they set up new homes, so we can use this to track families that may have location errors that are in need of correction and identifying tangled families, that suddenly appear in Norfolk, Virginia rather than Norfolk, England. This of course, will also help identify duplicates that have been made because of location errors.
If you want to take on a surname please add it below with your name. Thank you :)
