This Cemetery is part of the Australian Cemeteries Project.
Agnes May REID nee HAY was the first burial in the cemetery at Arthur's Creek in May, 1847, her spouse and Agnes were the owners of Hazelglen, sheep station. At that time there was no thought of a cemetery at it's current location in Arthurs Creek, but Agnes had expressed a wish to be buried there, having a liking for the beautiful outlook from the top of the hill,. where the cemetery now stands. There were no more burials until 1858, when Patrick Reid was buried, there. In 1867 Edward and Charlotte Roberts were buried there,
