History

The entirety of Ballinahown and parts of the surrounding townlands are now submerged making up the Poulaphuca Reservour, known locally as the Blessington Lakes.

Ballinahown had a population of thirty one in 1901, [2] thirty six in 1911, [3] and having been flooded now has a population of zero.
