Ballymartin Civil Parish is a small parish in East Antrim near Templepatrick. Ballymartin parish has a total area of 11.4 km² or 4.4 square miles.
The Six Mile Water river defines the north western boundary of the parish. The M2 motorway and main A6 road from Belfast towards Antrim pass through the parish as does the main A57 road from Templepatrick to Ballyclare.
Ballymartin Civil Parish has only 5 townlands and one, Toberagnee, is disconnected from the rest of the parish. Ballymartin civil parish is in the historic baronies of Belfast Lower and Belfast Upper. The Irish name is Baile Mháirtín meaning 'Martin's townland'.[1]
