Barbara Michelle Richir, 47, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 30, 2021.
Born Barbara M. Loveitt on September 10, 1973, in Woodbridge, she graduated from Gar-Field High School in 1991, moved to Fredericksburg, in 1995 and then moved to Caroline County in 2014.
Barbara found joy in sharing life with those around her, especially her children. When faced with challenges, she lived with a characteristic resilience and resolute generosity, especially for those less fortunate as she would gladly give her last dollar to a homeless person on the street. Barbara enjoyed hiking Old Rag Mountain, lake days at Lake Caroline, and spending time with her dogs. She had a contagious sense of humor and a passion for spontaneity and adventure. She was a fan of NASCAR and the San Francisco 49ers. She also loved cooking and dining out with family and friends.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Kevin Richir of Lake Caroline, VA; and by her three children, Corinne Eastman of Denver, CO, Erin Hovermill of Mechanicsville, VA, and Joshua Reeves of Lake Caroline, VA. She is also survived by her parents, Ronald and Shirley Loveitt of Stafford, VA; and her two sisters, Diane Knight of Keswick, VA and Laura Plavier of Blairstown, NJ.
