Introduction
- This land was part of a Virginia land grant to Robert "Councillor" Carter, who died in 1804.
- It was divided among children, and part of it passed to his daughter Sarah Fairfax Carter[1], who married Dr John Yates Chinn.
- Their son Benjamin Tasker Chinn inherited it.

Research Notes
- Though generally the US Black Heritage Project is creating plantation space pages for land with more than 40 enslaved ancestors, I chose to create this page since this named plantation came from the much larger Robert "Councillor" Carter land. Additionally, there is a plantation with an identical name in Goochland county.Weatherall-96 21:29, 5 February 2022 (UTC)
