Binstead, Isle of Wight One Place Study
![]() |
Binstead Hill the main road through Binstead Village |
From the main OPS Project Page: A One Place Study is a historical and genealogical study of a specific place and all the people who have lived there. Our mission is to encourage and assist those interested in the study of one-place genealogy and history. The project also aims to promote connections to the Worldwide family tree from within local family groups in one-place studies at WikiTree.
This is a One Place Study to collect together in one place everything about Benestede (Binstead) in one place on wikitree. My paternal uncle and his family lived in Binstead, at 3 Binstead Hill and my sisters and I stayed or visited them during the 1970's. Initially, I will be adding my relatives to the linked category, but eventually all who have lived there. The hope is that other researchers like you will join our study to help make it a valuable reference point for people studying lines that cross or intersect.
