About the Project
The Blanchard Name Study project serves as a collaborative platform to collect information on the Blanchard name. The hope is that other researchers like you will join the study to help make it a valuable reference point for other genealogists who are researching or have an interest in the Blanchard name.
As a One Name Study, this project is not limited to persons who are related biologically. Individual studies can be used to branch out the research into specific methods and areas of interest, such as geographically (England Blanchards), by time period (18th Century Blanchards), or by topic (Blanchard DNA, Blanchard Occupations, Blanchard Statistics). These studies may also include a number of family branches which have no immediate link with each other. Some researchers may even be motivated to go beyond the profile identification and research stage to compile fully sourced, single-family histories of some of the families they discover through this name study project.

I am a little confused about this "Blanchard Name Study." Apparently there is only one ongoing study, "The Blanchards of Charlottenburgh, Glengarry, Ontario, Canada?" This this the only one name study in this group? How does this benefit the other families name Blanchard? Julia
It looks to me that the creator of the Ontario study could have been a one place study. They never finished what they started.

I have removed the one name study sticker and categories for the surname BLANCHARD from https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Hiscock-1693. Unfortunately the original profile was created with the wrong surname at birth and has been corrected.
I hope this meets with your approval
I noticed you are putting the Blanchard name study tag on women who married a Blanchard, although their own name was not Blanchard at all. Can you enlighten me as to the logic behind this? Thanks.
