Boyce Family Mysteries

[Category:Family Mysteries]] Henry Stines Boyce is my G G grandfather (1827-1916) his father was Samuel Boyce (1783-1841). I have references to his father as being William Boyce (1748-1930). Here is where I run into problems. I have found a number of pedigrees that list different first names for William's father, and showing different birth places. But the names of spouses and children are the same. . I see possible parents with Johannes Boys Buijs/Martha Smith. Then there is: John Boyce/ Elizabeth Osbourne. And then there is Pieter Hendrickse Buis/Rachel Ostrander. All 3 sets of parents show the same children, the same birth/death dates. There is also a Daniel Boyce/Mary Applegate. Same place in general, but some variety there too. Where did these different pieces of information come from. Who is correct, who isn't? The time period is difficult as the census records are a guessing game, I am not finding land records on line.
