The Main Farmhouse

"Braehead" farm was purchased by Erskine and Catharine White in the 1950s for their retirement. The property included an historic farmhouse, constructed in 1798, complete with a barn. In 1961, an addition was constructed off the left side of the main house as storage and office space for Erskine.

The "Old Cabin"

Guests could stay in the main house, or in the adjacent log cabin. This was always referred to as the "Old Cabin" by family. They attached to the "Old Cabin" a second, more modern cabin in the 1960s, which was of course referred to as the "New Cabin."

Squam Lake "Squaw Cove" Lakehouse

Their properties included a small lakefront cabin, dock and boat house at "Squaw Cove" on nearby Squam Lake.
