St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church (now known as Mausdale Christian Church), organized in 1856 and meeting in the Sidler Schoolhouse, established the cemetery on land donated by and adjoining the Bright family farm. The church structure later erected was destroyed by fire in 1928 and rebuilt closer to Danville in 1929.

From Danville, take Rt. 54 W, turn left onto 642 W. approx. 1/2 mile on the right.
