Edward Denny owned the farm in lot 11 (140plus acres). He died in 1897. His son Edward H. continued to live at the homestead. He was living there in the 1900 Census. The father died without a will and the family owned other parcels of land. It took a while to sort things out. All the children inherited the farm in lot 11. In 1902 Edward H sold his share in the lot 11 farm to his three brothers, Myron, Jesse, and Fred. The three brothers lived in Buffalo. It appears they rented the farm. The 1910 US Census lists the resident of that land as renting.
George W. Paschke purchased the farm on Dec 10, 1921 from Philip Greiner and one other person. The deed is not online. The Denny's must have sold the land to Greiner in the interim.
George W. Paschke passed in 1923. His wife and children lived in the home until Raymond Paschke Sr. inherited it as the last living family member of the George’s children. Raymond Paschke Sr. had owned the home, with his first wife who passed (Lillian), whom had three children with Raymond Sr. They would farm the land. Family stories have passed down about Raymond Sr. tying himself to a tree on the property when the town wanted to make “new Broadway” because he didn’t want them to take his land. “Old Broadway” is still brick-laid in the approach of the strawberry field across the street from the property. The property previously had a very large barn on it. Raymond Paschke Sr. passed in 1979. The barn burned in 1980. The house structure was OK, but the only remnants left of that large barn was a small section of stone foundation (which has since been removed). Raymond Paschke Jr. inherited the home along with his sister (Lois Thiell née Paschke). They converted the home into four apartments in the 1980s. They divided the remainder of assets they jointly inherited and Raymond Paschke Jr. became the sole owner of the home. Raymond was a member of the Town Line Fire Hall for over 65 years. Raymond Paschke Jr. passed away in 2017, briefly giving ownership to Beatrice Paschke nee Hake, until she passed away in 2019. Kathleen Paschke then inherited the property, and is the sole owner today.
