In the Name of God Amen

I Joseph Brunt of Flash bottom in the Township of Quarnford, Parish of Alstonefield and County of Stafford Being of perfect mind and Memory, make this my last Will and Testament

First it is my will and Pleasure that all my legal Debts Funeral Expences and Probate of my Will be paid Out of my Stock, and that my Body be decently buried at the discretion of my Executors Jane Brunt my Wife, John Brunt my Grand Son and Philip Warrington

I also give and bequeath to my Son Isaac Brunt and my Granson John Brunt all the Farm which I hold under Sir Henry Crew after the manner wherein I have already divided it during my Life provided That they may be permitted to hold the same under Sir Henry Crew and to enter upon their several shares the Next Lady day after my decease

Only it is my Pleasure that My Son Isaac and Grand Son John Brunt Pay to my Wife yearly during her life the sum of Ten Pounds off the said Farm

And it is my Pleasure that my Wife shall have The House I now dwell in during her life, or for want thereof my son Isaac Brunt to Build her one and my Son Isaac Brunt is to have all the out Buildings that is Barn and Stables

and it is my will that after the Decease of my wife Twenty Pounds out the Forty Pounds now in the Hands of Thomas Dale be divided equally betwixt my son Isaac Brunt and Grandson John Brunt and the Remaining Twenty Pounds is at the disposal of my Wife to dispose of after her decease

all the Rest residue and Remainder of my Personal Estate it is my desire that it be equally divided among my Daughters Martha Beswick, Dinah Beswick, Sarah Brocklehurst, Elisabeth Baker and my Grand daughter Nancy Dale Share and share alike, and that those my Effects be sold and the Money be divided amongst them

I also give to my son Thomas Dale the sum of Five Shillings

and it is my Will and Pleasure that this my last will and Testament be put in execution by my Executors before Named and I do hereby utterly revoke disallow and disannull all former Bequests, Wills, and Legacies by me heretofore in any wise left or made, declaring ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and Testament. In witness whereof I have set my hand and seal this fourth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred an 9

Let a Probat of this Will be made to Jane Brunt Widow John Brunt and Philip Warrington all of Quarnford aforesaid the Executors, They being first duly Sworn that also the personal Estate will not amount in Value to 200£ Before me, Chas Buckeridge Sur.
