The Thirteenth Day of June One Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Five
I Sarah Brunt of Collshaw in the Parish of Alstonefield and County of Stafford &c. Being the Widow and Relict of Isaac Brunt Late of Collshaw Deceased Being sick in Body but of Good and perfect Memory, Thanks be to Almighty God, and Calling to Remembrance the uncertain Estate of this transitory Life and that all Flesh must yield unto Death, when it shall Please God to Call, do make and declare this my Last Will and Testament in manner and Form following:
first being Penitent and Sorry for all my Sins, most humbly desiring Forgiveness for the same, I Commend my Soul unto Almighty God, my Saviour and Redeemer, in whom, and by whose merits I trust and Believe assuredly to be saved and to have full Remission and Forgiveness of all my Sins, and to Inherit the Kingdom of Heaven, and my Body I commit to the Earth to be decently buried at the Discretion of my Executor hereafter Named,
And for the Settling of my Temporal Estate and such Goods & Chattels as it hath pleased God to bestow upon me, I do Order, Give, and dispose the same in manner and Form following, That is to say
First I Give and Bequeath unto my Beloved Step Son Thos Brunt One Shilling of English money &c
Also I Give and Bequeath unto Hannah Brunt Otherwise Day the sum of One Shilling as aforesaid
Item I Give and Bequeath unto Samuel Brunt the son of Hannah aforesaid also One Shilling
Item I Give Unto my Beloved Allice Brunt Widow and Relict of my son Isaac Brunt Deceased One Shilling
Item I Give unto my Beloved Son Abraham Brunt One Shilling
Item I Give and Bequeath unto my Beloved Son Zephaniah Brunt One shilling
Item I Give unto my Beloved Thomas Salt One Shilling as aforesaid
All the Rest and Residue of my Goods and Chattels I Give unto my Beloved Daughter Esther Brunt Both money and Jewels of Silver Purse and Wearing apparel and all my Household Furniture and all things Belonging whatsoever and wheresoever I Give unto my Beloved Esther Brunt aforesaid
Item I Desire with the Consent of My Lady Burdett or Sir Henry Harpurs Consent that my Beloved Son Joseph Brunt Enjoys the Possession and premases of House and Land or Living that He now Enjoys and Inhabiteth on Commonly Called Needles Eye or Spout House, that after my Decease he may have and Hold the same henceforward Paying unto his Landlord or to his Agents his natural and yearly Rent &c
And I hereby make and appoint my Well Beloved Daughter Esther Brunt full and Sole Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament, Hereby Revoking Dissannulling And Making Void all former Wills and Bequests by me made, and Declaring this Only to be my Last Will and Testament
