In the name of god Amen, the xxijth daye of marche Anno Dm 1590
I Thomas Brunte of the parish of Alstonfeild sick in bodye, but of good & perfect memorie the Lord therfore be praised, make and ordayne this my laste will & Testament in manner & forme followinge:
firste I Commende my Soule unto Almightie god my maker & Creator & unto Jesus Christe my Savior & Redeemer And my bodye to be buried in the parishe Churche of Alstonfeilde aforsayd
Item I geive & bequeath unto the poore people at Longenor iiijd
Item I geive & bequeathe unto John Froste my soninlawe my medleye Jerkin
Item I will that my M[aste]r and Landlorde shall have my best beaste for my heriot
Item I will that the debts which I owe & my funerall expence shalbe payd & discharged of my whole goods And then the reste of my goods I will to be equallie devyded into three parts
The firste parte whereof I give unto Alice my wife
And the other Two parts I will to be equallie devyded amongst Lawrence Brunte, Henrie Brunte, Richard Brunte, John Brunte & Thomas Brunte my fyve sones
Revokeinge & utterlie disanullinge all former wills, Legacies and bequeasts whatsoever I Constitute ordayne & appoynte Alice my Wife & William Olyver the elder my trewe & lawfull executors to see the execution & performance therof as my truste is thei Will
