This free space page for the Bula Cemetery is part of WikiTree's Texas Cemeteries Project. The page has been created to document the life and times of the people who are interred there. The Texas Cemeteries Project is a sub-project of the larger U.S. Cemeteries Project. This cemetery is an active cemetery.

This page is a work in progress. It will remain so until the cemetery have been photographed and profiles created for each person interred here. Since this is an active cemetery, this will continue into the foreseeable future.

LOCATION
The Bula Cemetery is located at the intersection of FM3397 and FM (or CR) 1264. See directions below.
GPS COORDINATES: 33.926355, -102.665999
From Muleshoe, travel south on SH 214 approximately 13 miles to SH298. Turn left (east) on State Highway 298. Travel approximately four miles to Circle Back. Turn right (south) onto FM 3397. Travel approximately seven miles to the intersection of FM 3397 and FM (or CR) 1264. The cemetery is on the southeast corner of the cemetery.

From Morton, travel north on SH 214 for approximately 13.2 miles to FM 37. Turn right on FM 37. Travel approximately 5.2 miles to FM 3397. Cemetery will be on the right about a mile ahead at the intersection of FM 3397 and FM (or CR) 1264. [1]

HISTORY
The Bula Cemetery was established in 1929. It was only used for a few years. The cemetery was not used for a number of years and fell into disuse. Around 1976 a cemetery association founded to restore the cemetery. The identity of the those buried here has been lost over time, but through research by the association and others they found eleven people who are buried here. The memorial stone shown above was place to remember them. The cemetery is still active, but the association required a permanent marker be placed on all graves to ensure no one else is forgotten.[2]
