The goal of the CAIRANO Ancestors Project is to identify common ancestors from Cairano, Avellino, Italy.
Right now this project just has one member, me. I am T Ruggiero.
Here are some of the tasks that I think need to be done. I'll be working on them, and could use your help.
- Identifying ancestors and descendants for those of us with Cairano ancestral roots
- Finding Cairano church records from the 1700s and the 1800s.
- Finding a Cairano-based church and cemetery contact willing to partner with us.
- Connecting family members to the global family tree.

I regularly look through new projects to help those creating them connect with others with similar interests. Are you planning on focusing on all folks from Cairano or a certain surname or two? This may fit well with our One Place Studies or One Name Studies projects, and definitely would work well with our Italian Roots project. Thanks for starting it!
