John Burghheier [lord] of Berners knight, to William bishop of Lincoln, William Hody and John Shaa knights, Hugh Oldom clerk, Humphrey Conyngesby, one of the king’s serjants at law, William Cope, John Cutte and Nicholas Compton, their heirs and assigns. Release and quitclaim with warranty, to the use of Reynold Bray knight, his heirs and assigns, of Bernersbury manor and all his lands in Middlesex. Dated 24 Nov., 18 Henry VII.
The same, to Sir Reynold Bray. Indenture witnessing sale for 100l. (of which he acknowledges receipt) of the said manor and lands in Iseldon co. Middlesex; the present feoffees, viz. Sir Reynold, Richard Emson esquire, and Nicholas Mattok and William Copynger fishmongers, Alfred Rauson mercer and James Swetman fishmonger, all four of London, to stand seised to Reynold’s use; premises to be assured as advised, and discharged of all rents etc. before Michaelmas next except 5 m. granted by lord Berners to Sir Thomas Bryan knight for life. Sealed, 20 Sept., 18 Henry VII.
