Welcome To The Cameroon/Cameroun/Kamerun Project
The Cameroon Project is part of the official Global Project and Africa Project. Thank you to all that are active and to all that have joined our team!
The goal of this project is to build a useful framework and resources for genealogists to research and publish the family history of Cameroonians, whether Anglophone or Francophone, famous or not.
Right now this project seems to have just one member, me, Chris Little.
Here are some of the tasks that need to be done. I'll be slowly working on them, and could use your help.
- create top level Categories for each Province/Region (STARTED)
- create next level Sub-Categories for cities and towns in each Region (STARTED)
- Links to useful resources such as Wikipedia articles, background reading and genealogical sources (DONE)
- Decide how to combine Francophone and Anglophone pages to reflect Cameroon’s polyglot history and cultures;
- Create profiles of some notable Cameroonians, whether musicians, footballers or even politicians (DONE)
- Et Cetera
Will you join the Project? Please post a comment here on this page, in G2G using the project tag, or send me a private message. Thanks, Merci et Ashia. Walka fine!
