- ARRIVAL OF THE CANTON, WITH FEMALE EMIGRANTS.
- The ship Canton, with two hundred and thirty-three Female Emigrants, arrived on Thursday afternoon. She sailed from Plymouth, May 20th. The Small-pox has broken out on board the vessel, and two persons died of that disorder, on the 14th ult. ; in consequence of which, the Canton, has been ordered into quarantine ; persons were employed yesterday afternoon in fumigating the mail, which will be landed this morning, and if it contains news of importance, we shall lay it before our readers.
