Caroline County
History
Named after Queen Caroline of Brandenburg-Ansbach and formed from Essex, King and Queen, and King William Counties in 1727 and named after Queen Caroline of Brandenburg-Ansbach.
After the county's formation, additional land was added to Caroline County in 1742 and 1762 from King and Queen County.
