- On Saturday afternoon at Carrolup Native Settlement a very interesting ceremony was held when the investiture of the 36th Troop of Boy Scouts took place. This is the only Troop of native boy scouts in Australia although there was a similar troop at Moore River before the war. A large crowd of visitors attended the ceremony and all were impressed with the appearance and bearing of the boys who comprised the troop.
