History/Timeline
Casey County was formed in 1806 from the western part of Lincoln County and named for Colonel William Casey (1754-1816).
Government Offices
- The first courthouse was a log structure erected in 1808. * The second courthouse was a brick structure built in 1837.
- The third and present courthouse was constructed in 1888 to 1889.
- The County Judicial Center was constructed in 2003 to 2005.

- Casey County is a county located in the U.S. Commonwealth of Kentucky. Its county seat is Liberty.
