About the Catholic Cemetery of La Crosse
A fire destroyed all early records of this cemetery. Its origins are partly hearsay. It is believed that in the early 1850's, the original section of land, just south of Market Street, was donated by Joseph Ebner to be used for Catholic burials. Dates on several graves support an establishment from the 1850's.
The cemetery has been augmented by additional land purchases, and it now covers over 32 acres. The cemetery address is 519 Losey Blvd S, La Crosse, WI 54601, United States.
