Abbreviations
fu = the named individual (parent) was deceased at the time the record was filed
di = the named individual (parent) was alive at the time the record was filed (note that di can be abbreviated d' when it precedes a vowel, e.g., d'Ilario)
n. = nato (born) indicates the date of birth m. = morto (died) indicates the date of death di anni = age (in years) di mesi = age (in months) di giorni = age (in days)
