Cedar County is a county in the U.S. state of Nebraska. The county was formed in 1857, and was named for the Cedar tree groves in the area.
Cedar County is one of 67 Nebraska counties that use a precinct division within the county and does not use township government. The remaining 26 counties in Nebraska subdivide the county into Townships and uses township government. List of Nebraska townships
