John Janson Waddington was baptized as a Quaker in Durham, England in 1818. He was single and with his birth family in Cardiff, Wales in 1841 for the Wales/England census. He emigrated to French-speaking Canada via unknown transportation and route. He married Matilda (1843?) and had a child (1844?) in Canada, then immigrated to New York before the 2nd child (1848? Rensselaer County, New York?). The family of 4 is on the US 1850 census in Whitehall, New York. John & Matilda lived in Greene County, New York for the rest of their lives.
I am looking for: *the trans-Atlantic transportation, *route to Canada (via US or directly there?), *his wife's family (Anderson?) in Canada, *any other of John's relatives (I'Anson, Kitching, Waddington) that might have been in Canada also (either traveling with him or having gone ahead), *transportation and route from Canada to New York, *death (date/location) and 2nd burial location info for Matilda, *and death (date/location) and burial location info for John.
