Chronology of Records

  • 1624. Henry Webbe married Clement Roddiver on October 20, 1624 at Stratford sub Castle, Wiltshire.[1]
  • 1625. Margaret, the daughter of Henrie Webb, was baptized at St. Edmunds, Salisbury on September 25, 1625.[2]
  • 1633. Henry Webb and Dowsabel Smith were married at St. Edmunds, Salisbury on August 11, 1633.[3]
  • 1637. At a Boston town meeting on September 25, 1637, leave was granted to Henry Webbe to buy the house wherein he now dwelleth, and to have a garding plott where may be most Convenient for him.[4]
  • 1638. At a Quarterly Court held at Boston on December 4, 1638, a charge against Henry Webb was discharged for want of sufficient witnesses.[5]
  • 1639. On the 6th day of the 12th Moneth 1638 (February 6, 1638/9), Henry Webbe a mercer was admitted as a member of the First Church of Boston.[6]
  • 1639. On the 10th of the 12th Moneth 1638 (February 12, 1638/9), Dosabell the wife of our brother Henry Webbe was admitted as a member of the First Church of Boston.[6]
  • 1639. Thomas Lechford prepared an indemnity by Francis Doughty of Dorcestor in favor of Henry Webb to save Henry harmless for a £500 bond that Henry had provided for the appearance of Francis at the next quarter court to answer to the complaint of William Cole and his wife Elizabeth.[7]
  • 1641. At a Quarter Court held at Boston on the first of the 4th Mo. 1641 (June 4, 1641), Henry Webbe & George Stoader, constables of Boston, had granted to them power to gather the estate of Paul Yonge & to pay the debts & to give account.[8]
  • 1641. In 1641, Thomas Lechford prepared a petition for Roger Toll, servant to Mr. Henry Webb of Boston, requesting that the court forgive him for selling 2 pounds of gunpowder to Cusshannequins about 1639, as then being new to the country, he did not know at the time that it was forbidden to do so.[9]
  • 1641. At a Quarter Court held at Boston in June 1641, Mr. Henry Webbe had his fine of £10 remitted to 10 shillings.[10]
