This Study will work in conjunction with the Church One Name Study registered with the Guild Of One Name Studies, (GOONS). The GOONS study was created after hitting a brick wall in Church family history research in Bedfordshire England, the earliest confident ancestor was Joseph Church 1772. The Church One Name Study is an immense task, and all input is welcome.

This is a One Name Study to collect together in one place everything about one surname and the variants of that name. The hope is that other researchers like you will join our study to help make it a valuable reference point for people studying lines that cross or intersect.

hi I'd like to join CHURCH name study

Hi! I just noticed that you show Churche in the tags. Will this name study cover both spellings? If so, I can also add a redirect from to Project:Church (this page).

Let me know - either post a message to my profile or send me a private message.

Cheers, Liz

Hi! I created the companion category for your name study (Category:Church Name Study). Feel free to edit it. The default for the template is to add the main category, but you can add a line to have a different category. See the ONS template page for details. Give me a holler if you have any questions about categorization.

I also created a redirect, so Project:Church (the link for the button from the Church surname page) brings you to this page.

Cheers, Liz
