Dr. William M. Campbell was the Surgeon-superintendent and on 24 August 1874, the ship was stranded on Kirkcaldy Beach near Grange, six miles south of Semaphore near Adelaide. On board at the time were over 320 people, an outbreak of scarlet fever had occurred during the voyage and seven people had died. Two babies were born on board during the voyage – one was "born dead". WIKIPEDIA
